macOS

OpenTodoList packages for macOS are published on GitHub Releases.

  • Download the package for your processor from GitHub Releases:

    • Apple Silicon (arm64) is the recommended package for Macs with an Apple M-series chip. It includes support for Apple's on-device Foundation Models.
    • Intel (x86_64) is the legacy package for older Intel-based Macs. It can use configured online AI providers, but Apple Intelligence is not available on Intel hardware.

  • Open the downloaded package and copy the app into your Applications folder.

  • Start OpenTodoList from your Applications folder or launcher.

To check which package you need, open Apple menu → About This Mac. Download the arm64 package if the window shows Chip: Apple M… and the x86_64 package if it shows an Intel processor.

First Run

After installation, open OpenTodoList and create a library. You can keep it local on your Mac or set up synchronization to use the same library elsewhere.
